Accident Fund Holdings Announces Employee & Leadership Awards

LANSING, Mich. — Accident Fund Holdings has announced the recipients of its annual employee and leadership awards.

2013 Employee of the Year

Chris Beasley, senior Agency Relations Specialist, has been named the 2013 Employee of the Year at Accident Fund Holdings. Beasley joined the organization in 2008 and has been instrumental in the development of several new training programs for the company, including an elite workers’ compensation training curriculum for agents. Named the Certified Authority on Workers’ Compensation, the program represents a partnership with Olivet College (Olivet, Mich.).

“Chris consistently demonstrates excellence in his role and a desire to improve the knowledge and skills of those around him,” said Scott David, director of Agency Relations. “He has a talent for content design and is a gifted presenter. He is an asset to the organization and an inspiration to our team.”

Beasley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hope College (Holland, MI).

2013 Leader of the Year

Sean Pepper, director of Underwriting for Accident Fund’s California-based brand – CompWest Insurance – has been recognized as the 2013 Leader of the Year. Pepper has been employed by CompWest since 2004 and has responsibility for managing and overseeing the Underwriting, Premium Audit and Policy Management departments. He has been directly involved with the company’s strategic planning and development as well as the coordination of all supporting departments to ensure high levels of service.

“Sean has provided strong leadership to our Underwriting and policy service teams, which has led to stability despite a challenging environment,” said Gene Simpson, vice president of Underwriting and Marketing for CompWest. “He has played a vital role in the turnaround of underwriting results at CompWest and is a well respected leader within our organization.”

Pepper earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University – Chico.
