United Heartland to Offer Workers’ Comp Insurance in Connecticut

December 20, 2017

United Heartland, a leading national workers’ compensation insurance company, announced today that it will offer workers’ compensation insurance in Connecticut, effective immediately.

This announcement reflects the continued expansion of the company’s footprint throughout the U.S. (presently 19 states), and marks its first significant foray into the New England area. Earlier this year, United Heartland expanded into Oklahoma and South Dakota.

“Our entry into the Connecticut market reaffirms our assertion that there is a need for the high-touch, customer service-focused approach to workers’ compensation that United Heartland excels at providing,” said Steve Cooper, president of United Heartland.  “Our high-touch service model allows us to be nimble and responsive to customer needs, and we look forward to working with agency partners who share that philosophy.”

Under the guidance of Regional Director Tracy Bain, the United Heartland team will explore opportunities for appointing agents and identifying qualified customers within the state of Connecticut.

“Our goal is to work with Connecticut agency partners who share United Heartland’s focus on our six key business segments – education, health care, long-term care, manufacturing, nonprofits/social services and wholesale/retail,” said Bain. “We are confident our value proposition and tireless commitment to controlling our customer’s total cost of risk will be attractive to potential customers in the state.”
