Accident Fund Holdings Names New Medical Director

LANSING, Mich. — Accident Fund Holdings, Inc. has announced the appointment of Dan L. Hunt, D.O., as Corporate Medical Director. Hunt joined Accident Fund’s leadership team on March 17 and will provide guidance and strategic direction on a wide range of medical management and cost containment initiatives, with a special focus on improving the quality of care for injured workers. He will also serve as clinical liaison to the organization’s brands, facilitating communication and relations with providers and medical vendors across the country.

Dr. Hunt most recently was founder and partner of the Greater Lansing Surgical Associates. Prior to that, he spent nine years with Mid-Michigan Surgeons and led his own practice for more than 13 years. Hunt was Chief of Surgery at Ingham Regional Medical Center from 1992-1998, is a past Alumni Board President for Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and currently serves as Board President for Genesis Surgery Center in Lansing.

In addition to his medical work, Dr. Hunt is an associate professor at Michigan State University, a general surgery resident trainer at McLaren Hospital in Lansing and a lecturer at the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University, is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a board certified general surgeon through the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery. An active member of the community, Dr. Hunt is married to Mary Hunt, D.O., and lives in East Lansing, Michigan.
